HattieGirl Ice Cream and Foods releases what it touts as its blockbuster product line, HattieGirl Ice Cream.
"Hattie , grew up in rural Alabama, during the early 1900's, where she was the youngest of eight children. Her parents were farmers who worked tirelessly to make a living. At the age of ten, her Grandma Lula(a former slave) taught Hattie how to cook and bake. She learned to make Homemade Ice Cream, Pies, Cakes, Homemade Breads, especially Corn Bread, even Potato Chips, using Grandma Lula's special recipes that she taught only to Hattie, her favorite granddaughter. She taught her to always use the best produce possible. The two of them would sell these products to many of the farm workers in the area. After awhile, Hattie started developing her own specialities by putting the Sweet Potato Pie, Peach Cobbler, Pear Cobbler, Blackberry Cobbler and Cherry Cobbler in with her fresh Homemade ice cream. She would do the same with the pecans, strawberries and other produce off the family farm. Word spread of these great tasting desserts and people would come from all over the county just to buy her desserts and breads. Before long, she was known as the Bread and Cobbler Ice Cream Queen. Her Grandma Lula said, "HattieGirl, I think you be a hit with all these folks. Remember, quality counts." She loved the way her Grandma Lula said HattieGirl and the name HattieGirl stuck to this very day." HattieGirl has her own national line of HattieGirl Food Proucts that's sure to be a hit!!!
